About the Hokie Hands Trailer
The trailer was built to provide support for service projects. Youth from Tekoa Residential Treatment Facility painted the trailer with maroon and orange handprints. In 2008, funds were used to purchase additional items to further develop the capabilities of the trailer. The generous support of Lowes Home Improvement Store in Christiansburg was instrumental in completing the trailer.

How to check out tools:
You can check out tools by category OR for large-scale projects the entire trailer can be reserved. Tools are loaned out for the duration of specific events, and projects and are checked out on a first come, first serve basis. On the reservation page linked below, groups can indicate the category of items needed and the specific dates that tools are needed. We will respond to your request within a couple of business days.

It is suggested that groups allow at least three weeks lead time to reserve tools. Groups will receive a confirming email allowing groups to pick up the tools on the day designated. Groups are then asked to return tools to the trailer on the date due. Tools should be returned in clean condition. Groups are asked to replace tools or offer a monetary donation if they are broken while used on a project. Gloves should also be returned clean and dry or replaced if needed.

If you want to reserve tools or the entire trailer, go to the Reservation page.
