Student-to-Student Program

    Student-to-Student is an adolescent tutoring initiative developed by SCALE (Student Coalition for Action in Literacy Education). College students are trained and matched with youth aged 12-17 for a one-on-one tutoring relationship that lasts eight months and covers reading and writing strategies. Student-to-Student sites include the Boys and Girls Clubs at Blacksburg, Christiansburg, and Shawsville Middle Schools.
